WALKERS CONCEPT-ALPHA (CANCELED WALKING DEAD PROJECT)

Visual exploration and pre-production studies for the Alpha-type walker, along with early variations of other infected forms.
Worked as Principal Character Artist, closely with the Art Direction of Jason Merck

The idea behind this phase was to explore the possible physical evolution of infected humans. Depending on original body constitution, some individuals would develop different dominant traits over time.

Alphas represent the larger, stronger class of infected. Their constant biting and chewing behavior led to anatomical degradation, with upper and lower lips often torn away, exposing teeth and reinforcing their aggressive feeding nature. The focus was on believable biological progression, mass distribution, and how repetitive behavior reshapes anatomy in a post-collapse environment.
